The TI Continuing Education System

For each coaching level there will be a certain number of credits to be acquired within each 2-year renewal period.

  • Some number of credits will be required each year, so that training is spread out over the two year period.

  • Some of these activities will be mandatory - the coach must fulfil some of their credits with this specific activity.

  • It is the coches responsibility to log their credits.

  • Coaches only earn credits by completing  activities on the approved list.

  • Credits may not be earned from activities repeated in the same year.

Tips for Fulfilling your credits.

  • Log your credits as you complete the activity.

  • Save a copy of your email receipt for your records.

  • Plan how you will complete your credits by viewing the activity list. Don’t wait until the last minute to try to complete all of your credits.

How Many Credits Do You Need?

Deadline for Submitting Your Credits

If you took your 1.0 Coach Training Course June 31, 2016 or sooner, your credits were due on December 31, 2017.  Your next credit requirements are due on December 31, 2019.

If you took your 1.0 Coach Training Course between July 1, 2016 and June 30, 2017, your deadline will be December 31, 2018.

If you took your 1.0 Coach Training Course July 1, 2017 or later, your deadline is December 31, 2019.

How to Log Your Credits

Once you have completed an activity you must log it in in order for it to count. You log an activity by filling out the Credit Submission Form. Choose your form based on your coaching level.

Once you fill out the form and press submit you will receive an email copy of your form. Save this  for your records.

It is the coaches responsibility to log their own credits for every activity..

We recommend logging your credits as soon as you complete the activity. Don’t wait - you can lose or forget important information.

Some activities require a Level 3 or Master Coach to fill out an Activity Review Form. Even if a Level 3 or Master Coach fill out an Activity Review form, you still must fill out the Credit Submission Form.

Effect of Not Fulfilling Credit Requirements

All coaches must fulfill credit requirements by their deadline. Failure to do so will result in suspension of the TI Certification and associated benefits.

If a coach fails to submit enough credits at the deadline for certification renewal his/her certification will be suspended after 30 days. A coach with a suspended certification will then need pay a $100 re-activation fee in addition to earning outstanding credits.  Coaches whose certification lapses over 2 years will be required to retake the Coach Training (for each level of coaching certification).
